Children Starting School for the First Time in September 2025

The Local Authority co-ordinates the application process for children starting school for the first time. (Applications will not be accepted at the school).

This is for Children born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021.

The deadline for applications is 15th January 2025

Notification date is 16th April 2025

In year admissions refer to applications made at any other time after the initial September entry into Reception.

Admission Arrangements

Willow Grove Primary School consultation on the 2026 proposed admission arrangements.

The Local Governing Body of Willow Grove Primary School is currently consulting on the proposed admission arrangements for September 2026.

The policy has been rewritten now that Willow Grove Primary School is part of the Kingsbridge Educational Trust. The updated policy includes an amendment to the oversubscription criterion. The policy now includes a level of priority for children of any staff of the school where the member of staff has been employed at the school for more than two years, or where a member of staff is recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.

Any comments on the proposed admission arrangements should be sent, in writing, marked for the attention of the Clerk to the Governing Body, either via email to [email protected] or by post c/o Willow Grove Primary School, Fisherswood Road, Wixams, Bedford, MK45 3TE.

The consultation opens on Friday, 6 December 2024 and closes at midday on Friday 31 January 2025 and written comments must be received by this time. (Please note the school closes for the Christmas break on Friday, 20 December 2024 and re-opens on Tuesday, 7 January 2025).
