Uniform

Children at Willow Grove Primary are expected to wear the correct uniform at all times, other than on specified non-school uniform days.

Items of school uniform can be purchased from Price and Buckland

Willow Grove Primary's colours are purple, grey and white. Polo shirts, sweatshirts and cardigans with the school logo are available to order online. Bookbags, rucksacks and PE t-shirts are also available. These should be supplemented with grey trousers, shorts and skirts or purple gingham dresses, which are available from many local suppliers. Pupils should wear sensible flat black shoes.

Jewellery, with the exception of a watch and make-up are not permitted. Children with pierced ears may wear one stud in the lobe of each ear. No jewellery of any type may be worn in PE lessons or sporting activity, except for stud earrings, which must be covered with micropore tape (supplied from home). Items of religious jewellery must be discussed with the Assistant Head or Headteacher.

Hairstyles need to be appropriate for school. Extreme hairstyles are not permitted.

Pupils must always wear PE kit for their PE lessons. Year 1 and Year 2 children can come into school wearing their PE kits on their PE days. Plain white t-shirts, with or without the logo and black shorts should be worn (without slogans or brand names). Indoor PE will be done in bare feet, but pupils will need trainers for outdoor PE. During cold weather, pupils are permitted to wear black tracksuits for outside PE. For safety reasons, we do not allow tops with hoods attached to be worn during PE lessons.

Please make sure that all items of clothing are clearly marked with the child’s name in as many places as possible.
