Art Club at Willow Grove!

During the last few weeks, children who attend our after-school art club have worked on a collage project inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s Sunflowers. The children explored vibrant colour palettes, experimented with various collage techniques, and enjoyed working with mixed media. They used acrylic paints to create backgrounds, flowers, and leaves, which were then cut out and arranged into their own sunflower compositions. To add detail and texture, they used oil pastels and fineliners.

They also discussed colour choices, particularly how to select background colours that complemented, rather than clashed with, the flowers.
