A huge thank you to Wixams Parish Council & Willow Grove PTA!

Willow Grove is thrilled to share that, thanks to a generous grant from Wixams Parish Council and the support of the PTA, we’ve been able to purchase three Friendship Benches for our school! One has been placed in the EYFS play area, one in the KS1 playground, and one in the KS2 playground.

Friendship Benches provide a special spot for children to show how they’re feeling and invite others to join in. A child can sit on the bench, and it signals to peers that they’d like someone to play with — promoting inclusion, social connection, and kindness across our school community.

These benches will be a wonderful addition to our play areas, encouraging friendships and fostering our school values for many years. They can also be used by parents or carers when collecting children or attending school events.
